かなり前の「オン島って何ですか？」という子供の質問に「オン島というのはね、御島って書くんですよ。「御○○」っていうのは「私は○○を敬ってます」という日本独特の意思表示の方法です。○○株式会社御中とかって書いてるの見たことありませんか？それと同じです。ですから、皆さんがオン島という表現が使われているのは、「島を敬い、ひいてはそこに関わるすべての人を大切にしなさい」という意味があるのではないでしょうか？」っていうかなりテキトーな回答しちゃったことあるが、あの子供今何してるんだろ。エラーとかしてないことを祈ろう。
