生き残った人は、実はすべて肉体を失い、データと化している。移民計画では、肉体を後で再生させて、それに人格を移すとしていたが、オリジナル1号から魂を奪って、データに移してるわけではないはずなので、その人格や記憶は複製ということになる。オリジナル1号の人格と肉体は地球と運命を共にし、複製2号は、見せかけだけの連続性を保っているに過ぎない。この事実が周知されたら(発表なんかしないと思うが)、信心深い者は宗教問題で反発し、このあとの展開によっては、オリジナルは実は生きていて、複製と対面なんてこともあるかもしれない。というか、見せかけだけの連続性については、ED見たずっとあとに気づくという･･･。ダグが何で怒ってたのかピンとこなかったていう･･･。
