「なな…何なんだここは……」すみっコたちがとことこ歩いていて可愛い。でも、親友の南(みなみ)がいなくて寂しい。南も連れてこれないかなー。と理砂が考えていた時。笑ったとかげがこちらにやって来た。「君は理砂ちゃん …だね？君は今からすみっコになるんだ。じゃあ、すみっコにするよ！」ぱーんっ。次の瞬間、理砂はねこになっていた。「えっ……！なっ何これー！？」「これは、すみっコになる魔法さ。君はこれから、すみっコワールドで暮らしてもらうよ！」 #3に続く。
