しばらく考えた結果、俺はネクタイピンを作ることにした。これならいつも身に付けて貰えるだろう。 「ただいま～・・。」 その夜、沢山の薬草を抱えて帰ってきた菅原さんはテーブルの上のバラを見て目を丸くする。 「お帰りなさい、菅原さん。今日はクリスマスですね。」 「え？・・あ、あぁ～そうだっけ？忘れてたよ。」 「これは俺からです。開けてみて下さい。 リボンも掛けずに申し訳ないですが・・。」 俺はそう言って小さな木の箱を彼に差し出す。 それの言葉にそっと箱を開ける。でも、彼は小さく目を見張ると、すぐに白衣のポケットにし舞い込んでしまった。 ・・あまり気に入ってもらえなかったのだろうか？ 「ありがとう、貰っておくよ♪♪」
