子供の頃、いとこと一緒に遊んで楽しんでいた思い出のゲームソフトの1つです。任天堂とスクウェア(現・スクウェア・エニックス)が共同開発して作ったマリオシリーズ初のRPGゲームですね。カエル仙人やワッシーなどの登場人物、クロコやブッキーなどの敵キャラが個性的でカッコいい可愛いキャラがいっぱいで楽しいです。ボスキャラではジョナサン・ジョーンズとオノレンジャーが好きです。モンスタウンにあるふういんの部屋の中にいるクリスタラーが手強かったの思い出します。パックンフラワーが歌って踊るCMが印象に残っています♪
