ネギトロ炭鉱のガチホコルールでは、右から金網を歩いて進めるルートの方がノックアウトしやすいように感じる。右ルートなら、ホコが進む先の敵へ牽制をいれたいあわよくば倒そうとしているホコを持っていないプレイヤーは、画像のように物陰から打つことができる。またホコを持っているプレイヤーも、金網の上では泳げないから、1カウントでも多く進めようとして無理に突っ込んだりできないために、安全が確保されているかどうかに気を配っている。おそらくこういった要因で、右からのルートに使いやすい印象があるのだろう。
