【気象庁きょうも霧島硫黄山現地調査】 ■調査内容 ▼火山活動の活発化を示す二酸化硫黄が放出されてないか →二酸化硫黄は検出されず ▼地下の活動によって地面が隆起していないか →データを持ち帰って詳しく分析する気象庁では今後、火山ガスなどの調査を定期的に行って火山活動の状況を調べることにしています。気象庁は、噴気や火山ガスが噴出したり、小規模な噴火が発生したりする可能性があるとして硫黄山から半径およそ1キロの範囲では噴火に伴う大きな噴石などに警戒するよう呼びかけています。(NHK NEWS WEBを参考)
