第3話 「家族」 私はその日、トボトボと家に帰った。 家に帰ると真っ先にお母さんが「どうしたの？」と優しく聞いてくれた。菜緒は『何でもない』と受け流した。 「菜緒の事は何でも分かるんだからね♪」お母さんは言った。 «10分後» 菜緒は全てを話した。お母さん…「あら…可哀想に…涙涙」優しいお母さんは私の事で泣いてくれた。お母さんは、お父さんがいない私にとって今一番愛せる人だった。お父さんは暴力団でお母さんの目はそのせいで失明した。そんなお母さんが私の背中を擦りながら「大丈夫、大丈夫」と慰めてくれた。私にとってこれほど嬉しいことはない。そう菜緒は考えていた。 次の日、学校で受理にあった。けれど、受理は無言で通りすぎて言った。 その日は、なんと受理には一度も絡まれずに学校が終わった。菜緒は何故か嫌な予感がした。
