来週は、去年亡くなった叔父の新盆なので、出席する母親の為に、横浜までの電車とバスのダイヤを調べてあげた。車社会育ちの母親は、本当は車で行きたいらしいのだが、ストビューで走ってみると…ま～面倒臭いったらありゃしない。国道１号をトレースしていたつもりが、曲がり損ねて横浜駅西口に行ってしまったり、同じ国道１号でも分岐した先が横浜新道（有料道は通りたくないだろう）だったり。鉄道社会と車社会の壁は厚かった。

    父親の言う事には、「平日の都心は渋滞するので、（国道１２２号から）環状７号線を経由するといい」だそうだが、マイカーを持っていない自分の感覚では、何か余計遠回りっぽいような気がする。都心の渋滞を舐めてはいけない？環７から国道１号に入っても、今度は横浜駅周辺が渋滞しそうだし…。
