ソード技の操作は細かく確認した方が吉です。「継続押下」でなく「押下」と書いてあるものは殆ど「継続押下」では出せません。必要があればMission1-2辺りでじっくり確認してみてもいいです。

おかげで大斬りだけやたらレベルが低いです。

大斬りは三段目を連打気味にしてると全てオンにしてても出せますね。使い所がないですが…

中斬りを出している間にボタンを押し直すと出せます。溜め技より出が早いのが唯一の取り柄ですが、使い分けて出す程の価値は無いでしょうね。
