夏に俺の傷は完治した。 しかし、記憶は相変わらず戻らない。 行く宛もない俺は結局、そのまま菅原さんの診療所に置いて貰っている。 こんな綺麗な人が一人でやっている診療所にも関わらず、何故かそういう被害は全く起こらなかった。 ・・俺なら真っ先に遅いに入るのにおかしい。 それは時々、木々の陰にいる人影と関係するのだろうか？ 俺がその事を菅原さんに告げると 「及川の私兵だよ。」 と言われた。どうやら及川という彼の古い友人が菅原さんに内緒で警護していたという事らしい。 ・・俺がいるのに本当に余計な事をする。 一気に俺はその及川という男を嫌いになった。
