大和田交通名物、1日1回しか見られないHEN☆TAI待避。まず、上下線の普通列車が副本線のホームに停車。普通列車はこの東平岸で交換するのだが、昼はこれでは終わらない。下り普通列車が発車したその時………… 上り快速列車が通過していくのだ。東平岸は見ての通り千鳥式で、副本線の有効長も長い。普通列車がその長い副本線を走行中に快速とすれ違うのだ。
