藤森地区開発記　藤森線駅紹介編！次は、稲里海岸駅です。この駅も新路線建設のため、ホームが1線追加されました。その新路線は美里～稲里海岸間で用地の買収が進んでいます。この新路線が開業するのは何年も先の話ですがwさて、駅の周りを見ていきましょう。駅の南側に2つの工場があります。実はこの工場は、以前はもっと海寄りの稲里海岸の砂浜にありました。しかし、地元の住宅から「稲里海岸の環境を破壊するな！」という苦情が殺到し、稲里海岸がある稲美町からも工場の移転命令が出され、今の場所に移転しました。駅前はそれ以外はほとんど発展していません。利用客は8600人です。
