    ナレーション「奇数の年　セ・リーグでは巨人が、パ・リーグでは西武がそれぞれリーグ優勝をし、阪神とロッテが4位、ベイスターズとオリックスが5位、カープと楽天((又は)近鉄)が最下位となってしまった。交流戦では巨人が優勝し、2位から6位までは2位から中日→ヤクルト→阪神→ベイスターズ→カープと、7位からは西武→ホークス→日本ハム→ロッテ→オリックス→楽天((又は)近鉄)とこうなってしまい、2軍のファームでも巨人が日本一にとなっていた。クライマックスシリーズでは巨人が3位のヤクルトを倒した中日に勝利し、パ・リーグでは西武が3位の日本ハムを倒したホークスに勝利をして共に日本シリーズに進出をしたがなんと3勝VS3勝0分けで中止無しで完全制覇へと向け、そしてアジアシリーズに向けて西武ドームで最終戦を行う事に。」
