    日本でも火山噴火による直接的な被害は地震にくらべたらここ数年は少ないわけで(とかくワタシの住む土地にはそういう話は無く)、正直甘く見ていたんですが･･･((°⌒°;))。

    歴史を思い返してみれば、大きな火山噴火の後に、必ず世界の人口が減少しているんですよね。原因は粉塵によって太陽が遮られることによる冷害で農作物が取れなくなるから････日本でも大飢饉として文献がたくさん残ってます。

    火山は一度噴火すれば甚大な被害を出す一方で、大地のさまざまな恩恵も与えてくれる。噴火も、長い目で見れば農作物を育てるのに重要な物質をもたらす良いものでもある。解説の女性アナウンサーがいってらっしゃいました。そうですよね････。
