    今辞書で引いたらryじゃなくてlyでした。フレンドリーには友好的以外に、敵対関係にない、という意味もあるようです。フレンドリーファイア自体も辞書に載っていて、友軍による誤爆、と書いてあります。

    同じような英語でも「ラビットファイア(速射、という意味)」みたいな直訳では意味が通じない言葉がありますから文章の言葉をそのまま受け止める、というのも気を付けた方がいいのかもしれません
