    ゴキブリは一般的に汚いとされているが、自分の触覚を定期的に磨くなど、意外とキレイ好きである。しかし、残飯などを餌とするため、糞に病原体が含まれてしまい、基本バッチィと見なされる。胃と腸の間に大きな物を分解する歯のような器官が存在する。また、3億年前から「姿」を変えずにいる生きた化石であるが、初期の大きさは12cmほど。昔はゴキカブリと呼ばれていたが、何故か「カ」が消え、ゴキブリと呼ばれるようになった。また、アブラムシとも呼ばれていた。不用意に潰すと、体内の卵が辺りに散乱する。揚げたり刺身にしたりなど、調理方もある。苦味がある。

    ゴキブリもといゴキカブリは、エアコンのスキマ、窓のスキマ、入れるところであればどんなところからでも入ってくる。アシダカグモなどに任せてもいいが、基本的にはゴキブリホイホイや、ゴキジェットプロなどを配置し、駆除するのがよい。しかし動物を飼っている場合、それらの固定砲台(駆除剤)の毒がその飼っている動物に悪影響を与える可能性があるため、スプレー型が適切である。
