This whole time I've been worried that SSB4 will try to throw hardcore fans under the bus again. Now I know it will.

Well Sakurai said he's trying to make Smash 4 somewhere between Melee and Brawl to appeal to both the hardcore and the casual fans. But that just makes this move even stranger.

  • No SSB4 is treating the hardcore fans REALLY well... The whole EVO, SSBM thing... not so much...

  • out of game decisions dont impact in game ones

  • Well, Sakurai already confirmed no ranked matchmaking, with some nonsense argument that he thinks only top players like being paired with opponents at their same skill level.

    Yeahs0
  • I consider myself fairly average and that's the one feature I wanted most. Precisely because it gets me opponents at my skill level, and it helps me track my progress as I try to improve.

  • Also, he's mentioned moveset customization and insisted that somehow this won't affect balance. Uh, that's impossible. Does he not know what min-maxing is?

    Yeahs0
  • Basically this is the last straw for me. This is yet another sign that they don't care about us.

    Yeahs0
  • Hmm, what you're saying makes sence. But let's be smart here & wait to see how thing play out cause, believe me, a LOT of people were asking for move costume move sets. Also, sweet user name!

    Yeahs0
  • There's really nothing that annoys me yet, but I DO understand and respect your opinion. Also I too am at best, average but I'll mostly be playing with my also average buddy so, no worries for me!

    Yeahs0
  • Actually, he said no costumes either.

    Yeahs0
  • Oh sorry I meant *custom* move sets. Also the game comes out net year so, theres a lot of developing to do. And uh, I don't mean to be rude but there will be diff. skins.
