Now I own the Pro Controller and still dont understand why people use it over th gamepad. so why?

May be because that's how the XBOX 360 play and people get use to at fast.

On the other hand, the Pro has an 80 hour battery... (I don't own one yet)

That is a major plus and the only reason I really use it at all for single player.

Which still is barely cause i like my map to be on my controller. Im used to it after the 3DS.
