    I think A Link to the Past had this same way of thinking. You didn't have to talk to some NPCs. At least that's what I think I heard, I never played A Link to the Past.

    I'm fine with it as long as the scenarios and the solution to those scenarios makes sense. I remember some of the older games occasionally having completely nonsensical solutions in order to progress.
