  • At this point I think they're running out of ideas... :P

    Yeahs0
  • I just want my hoenn remake before they run it into the ground >_<

    Yeahs0
  • They're probably only gonna be for a few Pokemon and the items for their in battle transformation will be banned for online and tournaments

    Yeahs0
  • I mean why else would they require a held item?

I have a question... HOW do you Mega Evolve a Pokémon? We know that you need a Mega Stone, and a Pokémon needs to hold it in battle to activate it, but how do you activate it in the first place?

    Yeahs0
  • It automatically activates apparently. There would be no need for a trigger, if your wasting your precious held item slot on an item, you probably want to use it yes?

    Yeahs0
  • As for banning seems...lazy...most legendaries are still balanced automatically for instance. If you look in the tier lists, they're not all up at the top ya know?

Automatically, as in, at the beginning of the battle? I don't think so. Reading on Bulbapedia, I saw that there was a currently unnanounced requirement for Mega Evolution. This could mean anything...

    Yeahs0
  • Well I remember tournaments INgame that forbid you from using Legendaries. As for multiplayer they would have to create a mega form for every single evolutionary line or else only the Megas would be-

  • - used

    Yeahs0
  • Could just be unlocking said items to begin with...meh who knows?

    Yeahs0
  • And current tier list only 17/50 are considered to be in the "uber" list....it shouldn't be up to us to balance everything and fix their mistakes.

    Yeahs0
  • Im not talking about tiers

    Yeahs0
  • Whoops misread...

    Yeahs0
  • As for the activation they only said you needed the Pokemon's specific -nite stone to transform in between battles. My guess is that it might be manual. I mean seeing your Pokemon transform before -

    Yeahs0
  • every battle begins will either get boring or make the standard form seem pointless. Maybe there's a strategic element too

    Yeahs0
  • Hopefully. Otherwise the game will be a mad dash to find the all the pokenite...just to be on a level playing field with everyone else. And eliminating the need for all other items to boot.

@CJsai, my logic entirely. My personal guess is that it activates a percentage of the time when something happens, eg. the Pokémon is on half hp.

    Yeahs0
  • Maybe that's why there's a different stone per species, their ultimate form is activated by different stimuli.
