    There's a bouncy mushroom on the other side. It's kinda hidden, you have to throw yellow Pikmin on it to raise the platform, just make sure you have someone on the platform when it's raised.

    he means the brown see-saw platform, the lower end with which is at the north part of that little elevated area you are referring to.
