Well, I have 5 GB left on my wii U, and WWHD will take up 2.5 of it. Meaning I can't download this game when it comes to NA until I get a HDD

  • How computer savvy are you? An old hard drive with a SATA to USB Adapter and separate power supply would do in a pinch. Adapter is cheaper than a full drive.

  • Just don't buy Gamestop's external drive, waste of $$. Go on NewEgg or Amazon. As an FYI, I just have an old laptop hard drive in a small 2.5" USB caddy I got from work. W/ a Y-USB cable its perfect

  • I DO have a HDD for my mac but I don't wanna delete my mac data for my wii U.

    Yeahs0
  • how can you tell how many data you have on your wii u left?

  • NewEgg has a 500GB Ext HDD for $70. Western Digital Passport. Much better than the 320GB for $70 Gamestop has. Just need to pick up a cheap Y Cable, also on NewEgg.

  • office max often have good sales on some of their hard drives, worth checking them out from time to time.

  • I may do that, since Nintendo recommends a specific 1 TB hardrive, I think it's from a company called buffalo technologies?

  • I use an Intenso 1TB hard drive with y-cable(turns on and off with the console). Works flawlessly.

  • Just use a cheap usb stick. It's invisible, no moving parts, no cables and with 64GB twice as big as the internal flash! Also faster than HDD.

  • @Geit: I'd LOVE to use a USB flash drive, but what about Nintendo's warnings that they lose their data/reliability in time with usage?

    Yeahs0
  • Yes, that is true. They wear out over time. Therefore I decided to save for a buffalo 1 TB USB drive

  • Thats stupid. USB Sticks are flash. It is used in SSDs and within the WiiU itself. The bigger the media the longer it lives. A harddrive can break when being moved while running. The motor may fail...

  • Even my oldest usb stick is still running. Yes, each cell will die aft er a number of writes. To kill a 32GB stick this would require continuesly writing for several years.Games will be installed only

  • once and only settings and updates get written. Any Tablett and phone is using Flash only (like the WiiU). A broken Flash memory means a broken device.

  • Has anyone used a SSD? I'd be curious about its performance

    Yeahs0
  • An USB stick is equal with an SSD in this case. The usb port limits the transfer speed.
