    The 2DS is to expand the adoption rate of Nintendo handhelds. Lower price=more consoles and games sold. 3rd party support is needed, but consoles are more likely to be bought with a lower price.

    nope. Nintendo is going to be just fine. The 2ds isn't for you it's for little kids. Why hate on something that isn't marketed towards you. A price drop right before the Xbone and the ps4 is perfect

    Nintendo did need a Wii U price cut. Less price = bigger install base = less risk for third parties and wider audience for new 1st party IPs. I can't get a 2DS due to the lack of an account system :(
