    I think it's good to sell something that children who can't use the 3DS can have to replace it. Plus it's cheaper and those that were on the fence buying a handheld may rethink this.

    At least the 2ds plays ds games. The Gameboy micro was the only one that was not backwards compatible.

    i think it's great, i can't see the 3D on the screen because there is something wrong with my eyes. now i don't need to pay for a feature i can't use

    i agree with Marc. i too can't properly see 3D effects, so excluding that and being cheaper because of it has me interested.
