So I'm new and using duel blades right now. How are the duel blades that are available later? I really like the mobility with this weapon but worry about strength in the later quests...

    most weapons are pretty balanced throughout the game. there'll be plenty of dual swords for all your needs

    What Chack said - Any weapon you choose will be viable throughout the game, you just need to learn how to use them. Also "dual," as in two - not "duel," as in combat.

    Duel swords are a very good damage per second weapons. some skills you should use with them are speed sharpener, sharpness+1, evasion+1 or 2, razor sharp, critical eye+2 or 3 and earplugs.

    Also for duel swords, elements are a little more important with duel swords but even then plain raw duel swords will still work too.

    here are some duel swords you should get for each elements. fire aggy or ian/los ds, water plessy ds, ice barioth ds, electric abyss lagiacrus ds, dragon deviljho ds and slime ds.

    You should also make the gigginox duel swords too. duel swords are very mobile weapons so you should be the one always doing the most hits. just look for moments to atk then get of there.

    Don't get greedy with your attacks though unless the monster fallen over or in a trap. you should also start farming royal ludroth to get dash extract so you can make dash juice then combine-next post

    dash juice with honey to make mega dash juice. so well done steak + dash extract = dash juice + honey = mega dash juice. i hope this info was helpful.

    ds are pretty sweet, your mobility allows you to deal with quick monsters easily, and your fast attack speed lets you rip through slow monsters. Aso make sure to abuse the monsters elemental wekness.

    with the help of evasion +1 you can stand toe-to-toe at all times with your enemy = more attack opportunities, Stamina conservation skills are also a nice bonus.

    at end game sharpness +1/speed sharpening is a good skill combination, razor sharp is decent. HG earplugs is good no matter what. elemental attack up is also worth mentioning
