As someone who really iffy on the Megaman series as a whole, should I get this? It looks good, but I never really cared for the few others that I played.

    Definitely! It's easier then the NES Mega Man games, while still providing a good challenge, so it's rather accessible to newcomers of the series. It quickly became my favorite MM game.
