    I think the best fighter (For you) is the one you put the most work into, usually known as a "main". For me, it's Cloud Strife, and it's been that way since his release. There's also the tiers. I'm not sure if there's an official tier list, but it's said on most lists (Not the joke lists) that Little Mac is bottom tier, as an example.

    Used to be Diddy, then the hoo-hah got nerfed. Then Sheik, but s(he) got nerfed, giving Bayonetta the top spot. Then Bayo got nerfed HARD, leaving people to wonder who is the best? ZeRo says it's Ryu, Cloud and Rosalina are top contenders, and Sheik and Diddy remain prominent despite the nerfs. Abadango is playing a FIRE Mewtwo, Larry is surging the Fox meta, and Nairo's ZSS is a monster.

    It's just hard to say. The only tier lists Link and Mac rank highly on are For Glory cancer tiers. Cloud, oddly enough, ranks high in both competitive gameplay and For Glory cancer!

    @Ethan there was an official tier list. I dunno why it was created before the game was done. It was created by Smash 4 Back Room (4BR). The list is really outdated, and was made in the 1.1.3 patch.
