I DONT SEE HOW ANYBODY IS EXCITED. CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME ABOUT UPCOMING GAMES BECAUSE I DIDNT SEE THEM. PAPER MARIO COLOR SPLASH LOOKS BAD. TOKYO MIRAGE LOOKS JUST ALL OF THE PLACE, IT NOT BEING DUBBED JUST SHOWS THE LACK OF EFFORT. ALSO MARIO PARTY IS STILL OFFLINE. WHY BUY THAT, ESPECIALLY ON 3DS? PLUS MARIO PARTY HASNT BEEN GOOD SINCE GCN, NINTENDO FANS MUST BE DESPERATE TO PLAY SOMETHING

true but mk8 cameout at the beginning of the gen. in may 2014, the only big next gen game was WD. which was bad. R&C opened the sameday as DARK SOUL 3, & every site has called it the best looking game ever, next the last of us & UC. IT ALSO sold more than past ratchet games. critics have said ratchet hasnt seen popularity like this. thats because sony listen to fans & placed him as their mascot.

The new rachet and clank was so filled with cut sceens you cpuldent do eny game play barley unlike the original! I played it at my friends house, was very dissaponted!

@zeth no mk8 cameout may 2014, you bought it in dec. you were late. ssb cameout in winter. also, EVERY RATCHET & CLANK HAS CUTSCENES. PPL IN FACT HATED THE ORIGINAL CUTSCENES BECAUSE RATCHET WAS RUDE TO CLANK. YOU'VE HEVER PLAYED THAT GAME. also, the cutscenes are skippable, unlike mario's bad non dialog cutscenes. zelda cutscenes go for like 5 min and are boring.

Uhhh... At least half of the mario games released have good cutscenes, and these are the games that YOU said were the peak of the franchise. Dude, get your opinions straight, and if they are, be more specific.

@midEgamer no, mario cutscenes feature bowser grabbing peach and jumping offscreen. there isnt any quality to it. ive actually sat back and watched entire ratchet cutscenes compiled together. they are truly brilliant. i like sms cutscenes but those are low quality. games like uncharted & ratchet actually have effort to telling an interesting story. it maes me feel like i HAVE to complete it

iv played all r and c games from the original to size matters to the ps4 revized addition! like the first one most of all!

@zeth i like crack in time for ps3. the original was great but very prehistoric in terms of controls & weapons. did you ever play jak or sly o god of war? also, dude you can always skip r&c cutsenes. i just think that r&c is better than mario because spyro was better than sm64. creators of spyro made r&c. but also because mario honestly hasnt had a serious game since smg

dont agree with spyro thought sm64 was better gameplay was fun also graphics where better ps1 was 32bit n64 was well 64 allthough its my opinion.

@zeth but ps1 graphics were still close. i liked spyro's control. although sm64 is beautiful in comparison, i like how i can dash with spyro to speed things up. i also like how each level features different enemies. also, it had more levels than sm64, plus i thought spyro improved with the 2 sequels. i'm glad banjo got a sequel but its a crime that sm64 didnt get a sequel.

@midEgamer sms was on gcn not n64. but spyro had sequels that were on the same platform. i didnt really like rpgs. i more of platformer/action/adventure/racing/fighting. mario cutscenes were terrible. they are simple, bowser grabs peach & runs. whats so cool? ratchet cutscenes have been called pixar quality, thats why he just got a movie last month. smsunshine cutscenes were meh.

I have to agree with tak only on the last cutscene in SMS when you beat bowser it was a great cutscene( goo watch it now) but the thing that ruined it was bowsers voice! terrible if they do voice acting for bowser in the future games do a gruffey and hard voice instead of a voice that sounds like cookiemonster!

C: No one said that we are limited to mario 64 games. D: The cutscenes of SMS and ownwards and all RPG mario games were really cool.

While its true that you can argue about A, the rest of the cutscenes in the RPGs and the 3D mario games were worth to watch.

I'm not gonna judge about your preference of games, all I'm saying is that there are still many mario games that have really good cutscenes.

@midEgamer i said earlier that r&c is better than mario because spyro was, imo, better than sm64. he said. so i was more or less just comparing the ps platformers to n64s. i love sm64 but it never got a sequel. sms is more of its stand alone thing. mario never gets sequels that much unless its 2d. his TRUE 3d games were like once a gen. it never really could improve.
