    The only time I cancelled it was when I Shoryuken'ed at the end. Although I doubt this would actually work on an opponent who was actually playing.

    Yeah. I labbed it out with my sister a while ago, and she was able to escape pretty easily. I'm guessing that Charizard's big size made it easier to hit him when he was rolling away. Anyway, it's probably for the best that this isn't a real combo.
