So why is online for glory restricted to time?

most people prefer stock.

    Isn't it time and stock? It's like.. 6 or so minutes and then 2 stocks? At least that's how I remember it.

    It is both. There are stocks but the time is there to help stop stallers.

    In 4-player matches, it's time only, because Sakurai wants the game to be fun for all If we had stocks, 3 people could've ganged up on 1 dude, ending his stocks, Then they would crouch a bunch.

    Its the standard tournament style for Sm4sh, 2 stock 6 minutes, no items, but its omega only compared to tournament legal.

    In 4-player For Glory, it's only time so that everyone will be playing for the duration of the fight rather than get bored waiting for the match to end because they ran out of stocks first.
