    I mean, Clefable isn't inherently overpowered or anything but it went from being a mediocre RU Pokémon to the best Pokémon in OU in the span of one generation. Its Special Attack went up in Gen 6 as well but it's pretty clear that the typing change was the main factor in its huge spike in viability.

    Florges with the highest possible Sp. Def pretty much cancels out any Poison or Steel special attackers. I'm not sure why people don't use it (aside from its somewhat limited movepool).

Well, that and Sylveon is bulkier than Florges thanks to its higher HP and hits harder with its STAB due to Pixilate Hyper Voice. Florges really only has the edge over Sylveon in that it's a tad faster and has one-turn recovery. the thing that sets Clefable apart (cont)

    (cont) from both Sylveon and Florges is that it has a godly movepool owing to being a Normal-type in previous generations as well as two amazing abilities in Magic Guard and Unaware.

    All that needs to happen is that Psychic needs to be resistant to Fairy Back when Gen 6 was in alpha, this guy leaked a bunch of XY info and he ended up getting everything right, including Fairy's impact on the type chart, it got everything on Fairy correct except for Psychic being resistant to Fairy

    But Clefable is the best Pokemon in OU for one reason The Electric type status move that inflicts paralysis on the target.
