What stage is your main's best neutral?

Link's seems to be Battlefield. The platforms allow for great stage control from Bombs, give him a lot of wiggle room from characters that are very rushdown based (Mac and Falcon), and even extend his own combos further from his fast aerials. Being that most of his attacks can go through the platforms and Boomerang can be angled up, that helps, too!

  • If counterpick stages aren't allowed, then BF for Falco and Ganon.

  • Battlefield is actually a really good stage to take Link for Ganondorf, actually. Because his command grabs are hard for Link to punish. Just one of the few showcases where even your best stage can be used against you.

  • PAC-MAN's is FD. There's not a lot of room to avoid his projectiles.

  • Really? Well that makes sense. I'd of thought Pac works best on Smashville, honestly. Because the stage is small, so Pac's excellent midrange game with his projectiles is hard to avoid and the platform doesn't allow escaping since he also has things like Galaga and Bell, and Hydrant is a more viable KO move because of the small wall zones. But...I'm no Pac-Main, so what do I know.

  • Well, I'm not a competitive player, and I don't fight on Smashville often, so I wouldn't know for sure either.

Sonic seems to do really well on flat surfaces (Final Destination, Smashville, Town and City, etc.), probably because he has more control of the stage more than anyone because of his sheer speed.

  • Sub-question: what is you character's worst neutral stage? As it is a neutral stage, obviously this doesn't mean you should never go there. It just means maybe you can work easier on another stage or maybe a certain matchup is made more difficult on that stage. Link's is Final Destination. For the sole opposite reason as Battlefield: no platforms to escape to and rushdown styles can do whatever.

  • Battlefield is my favorite stage but with Shulk I'd rather be on Dream Land 64. I really like the Jump Art but in Battle field I can't short hop under the left and right platforms. In Dream Land 64 I can. For Ryu I'm fond of Town and City because of the relatively small blast zone on the cieling.

  • Villager does not like other stages. wily's castle is the only stage where he can steal projectiles from the yellow thig and use them on opponents.(I only play 3DS vers.)

  • Final destination is Jigglypuffs best stage, Since The enemy can't use the platforms to avoid Jigglypuffs rollout.

  • For Roy I believe is Duck Hunt. In some MU's, battlefield. Duck Hunt has a good amount of platforms for him to juggle, but also makes it so he can't easily get juggled. The flat part of the stage lets him aproach with nair and d-tilt as well.
