    Placing the Amiibo on the touch screen or with 2ds or 3ds use the Amiibo Reader/Writer. Dont have one look for one in walmart or online thay are about 20

    What my problem was at the time, was I didn't download the update. There was no ability to scan amiibo without it, and no icon to select.
