Is Reddit Safe for Me?

I'll keep this part short, cause the discussion post's version of correcting "too long" posts is annoying. I'm not yet a teenager, but I'd like to consider my self to have some online maturity. On Reddit, I just wanna discuss Pokémon. I'll continue ↓below↓

  • I've barely even started my case, so I can't accept your answers. Anyways, I just wanna discuss Pokémon stuff, and that's about it. I know not to use bad words. The closest I've ever gotten and likely will get is saying darn quietly while playing Banjo-Kazooie, so no worries there. Also, I know not to respond to trolls. It just makes the problem worse. If you can impose age restrictions↓

  • @Allorange I never said you were wrong. What I mean by safe is not horrible in terms of age rating, pretty much just for the Pokémon subreddit. All I need is a well-written, 1-2 comment long answer to if this is for me and if it's safe to ask my Mom, then Dad. Also, an answer to what I should mention. I can't just mention everything, but I'd like to know the big things to mention. A 3:2 ratio of↓

  • ↑good stuff to the bad stuff that I can "maturely",(for lack of a better word), fix or learn to avoid. If I just mention the good stuff, it'll all go downhill from there. Also, my parents are a bit iffy about me going online, and while I totally agree, I don't want it to sound terribly dangerous.

  • Heh, I forgot to continue my age restrictions part. :T ↑,that'd be great. I'm probably front seat on the "Online Restrictions Train", and having those would be awesome for my arguement and for personal safety. :] Thanks for answering! :]

  • @Drew So true. Kids my age online have a lot of stereotypes, one being cussing a lot to sound cool. None of my older friends really say bad words, but they probably do it behind my back, (maybe). I dunno, I always feel like if I said words of my age group, someone would just appear before me and tell on me. Also, no offense to people that do, but I feel awkward/weird/wrong to say 'em. :b HAGD!

  • Thanks for the advice! :] I can respond better tomorrow, but it's my bedtime. If we can figure out a way to actually tell my parents I want an account. Hopefully, if the 13 thing doesn't matter, then all wil be fine. Have a good day! Free follow!
