You can have the most amazing graphics imaginable, but if the gameplay isn't very good, then the whole game suffers. This is exactly what Donkey Kong Land 1 is like. It looks amazing for a Game Boy title, but it plays and controls completely wrong. This is a perfect example of graphics over gameplay. In fact, the gameplay was the reason why Donkey Kong Country 1 was so great.
