People say Steve won't work because Steve is not really a character he a avatar but I hate to say it Steve, Alex whatever could work because this is Smash Bros and you can take everything from Minecraft and turn it into a moveset best example of this is Villager turning everything you do in Animal Crossing into a moveset and this is coming from a person who does not even play Minecraft.

    'Steve is an avatar' So are Robin, Corrin, Link, Miis, Villagers and more. This is not really an argument against Steve. Moveset problems are non-existent (Wii Fit Trainer, Duck Hunt), so no won't either. Minecraft IS popular and is a thing for quite a long time. But the thing is, 3rd Parties slots seem to have more steep rules when choosing them. While Minecraft is popular and KINDA has...

    ...a connection to Nintendo now, but it's very recent one. Cloud's main game wasn't on Ninty's consoles, but prior FF titles were. And chosen characters are mostly very iconic (except Bayonettta, but she's the ballot winner), while Steve doesn't stand out that much. It's the structure of the game that does. So yeah, Steve has a chance in theory, but very, very slim one.

    Steve could use the pickaxe, the sword, the axe, the flint and steel, the lava bucket, the brewing stand, the crafting table and the Nether portal!

    It would be SO cool if we could play as steve or alex (color changing thing), I would be runing around shooting arrows at people!
