Wiimote and competitive playstyle

I have my trusty wiimote to play smash. Now, you may call me a casual because of that, but, I can assure you I'm not. Let's say I'm half from being a professional competitive player. I consider that as my level of skill. But that ain't the point, my point is, that even with a wiimote anyone can play competitively as long as they practice. What do you think?

  • I agree. I guess wiimote is the hardest way to get on this level. Let's smash someday. I wanna know how skilled you are.

  • Wiimote with Nunchuck... or the Wiimote on its side?

  • Well, I think you're not completely right. Indeed, you can play competitively with any controllers but you can't reach the same level of a competitive player using GC controller with a wiimote. Why ? Simply because you can't do everything he does with your controller so you're more limited. It doesn't mean you're a casual, but that you will be blocked at a certain point.

  • I mean it isn't that anyone would stop you from playing due to your personal preference, but not having a C-stick can be a hinderance. The layout is also a little less favorable for your hands. But, like I said...no one's going to stop you, so go crazy.

  • Sorry for being late. Indeed you guys have VERY interesting points. @AB Legend I play it horizontally @Daniel while I do have a GC Controller and a Wii U Pro, I agree on that. But I just can't seem to control the characters correctly with them...

  • @MRUV yes, I do know it's very limitations. Like doing Perfect Pivots or Foxtrot Tilts (I'm not really sure it's called that way). But there are some essential yechniques such as Pivot Grab, A-cancelling. Actually, that's all I need to play well. Yeah, I don't consider myself 100% competitive anyways. @Theddy I'm free this week, so we may battle someday.
