I agree with some of the placements on the list but, I think each character can be good it's just that some of them require more effort than others.

I don't think high tiers are up there because they require less effort. I don't know about you but I don't really consider Sheik or Ryu easy to play. I understand what you're saying, but I think it could've been worded differently.

Ryu is, in fact, hard to play. Sheik? Well...that's where our opinions seperate. Anyways, tiers do matter but are always fluctuating, meaning maybe you don't like that your favorite character is low or bottom tier (or maybe you're one of those plebs who complain about mid tiers not being top tiers). Well, the answer is simple: go into those tournaments, big or small, and make a name with them!

And yet, you don't state your reasoning for why tiers matter. In terms of casual and small tournament play, tiers are next to useless. Every character has the potential if the player know what they're doing in battle. Tiers come in place in high levels of competitive play. Personally, I find Tiers almost completely useless (again, it's my opinion, so don't get angry).

Yes, even some high tier characters require quite a bit of effort but, low tiers need a lot more.

i played as Zelda and ended up beating everyone in a room my friend created. They noticed I was winning and tried to get me first but i still ended up killing all 3 of them while holding on to both my stocks.Oh and for Roy he's another "F tier" I dominated the room with.I played with most fighter's whether Tier A or F and still lost some matches and won some

Also, like I've said somewhere else before, the best way to understand tiers is by looking at the clones. Take Mario and Doc for example. Mario is fast, hard to combo break, good at edgeguarding, has great recovery, a decently reliable meteor and good ways to KO. Doc...has a tornado. The things Doc have to make him different from Mario make him a far worse character, and it shows.

I sir am in the League Of low tiers and the buffpuff Club, and anybody who talks smack about my precious low tier Jigglypuff will have to answer to me Cause if Jigglypuff got Just one single buff I will finally stop complaining for once.

@Steven, well I meant that they matter at high level play. As for why I think tiers matter: to me it's just kind of obvious that some characters are better considering that they just have much better combos, matchups, neutrals, etc. A character like Jigglypuff just has so many weaknesses compared to a character like Mario. @Daniel, I agree with the clone thing 100%.

Oh! I know why Jigglypuff isn't gonna get any buffs! It's because Hungrybox beat Reggie during that Nintendo thingy as Jigglypuff! So Reggie now thinks Jiggs doesn't need any help what-so-ever!

You have a point, they do matter. I can see tiers taken into consideration in professional settings and high level play, yet when it comes to just playing the game with friends and online...anything can happen. Low Tier characters could beat High Tiers, yet they have to work much harder to achive similar results... Ya gotta love Smash 4 [for] its balance.

I don't play on super-high-competitive-skrub-lvl, so tiers aren't really noticeable to me. Especially because either version of Zelda is capable of seriously annoying me (I main Mega Man, so Nayru's love is the bane of mine, while Sheik is insanely hard to catch). And I'm glad that tiers aren't that obvious.
