Unable to go to Miiverse after pressing Home Button

Is it just me or is anyone having trouble with accessing the menu to go to Miiverse and etc while in game? I press the Home Button and the crossed-out Home icon pops up. Thoughts?

    Your world is probably online. Exit, and when you go back in, make sure you scroll down and uncheck the Online Game box.
