    *Overworld song plays* Mario runs past a wall of stone blocks, he walks back to more closely observe it. The center two blocks break away and Steve walks out, arrows flying past him, then, he replaces the blocks. Steve turns to face Mario. Steve Digs In!

    #1: Mario, Link, Kirby, and Samus are exploring a deep cave. The stumble apon a huge abyss. At the bottom, they discover a strange, glowing, purple portal. As they get closer, a blocky figure emerges from the portal. The characters get in their respective attack positions.
