Opinion on overactive fanbases.

How do you feel about over active fanbases? (Undertale, Bronys, Anime, etc.)

  • I don't really mind them. As long as they don't forcefully shove it down my throat, I'm a-ok with it!

  • I don't think a fanbase being overactive is a problem, I enjoy watching people interact with media, and make it a part of them. It's when groups of those fanbases consume everything around them, bothering people who aren't in said fanbase, and gatekeeping and shunning/bullying people for not being up to some pretend standard that doesn't even matter. Holding double standards as well like undertale

  • fanbase bullying first time players/people who do genocide runs, but praising people for beating sans. Also just destroying who a character is with AUs and theories that don't add anything, just reduce them from the complex characters they are. I think Papyrus is a good example here.

  • Even though they are annoying, people going against them and complaining about them is more annoying. Also, just cause there are some nine year olds in a fandom, that doesn't mean that's the whole fandom.

  • @Nailah Agreed that discrimination of someone liking something is wrong but if a 9-year old are making theories and such it is frankly annoying because they aren't mature enough to go on fourms.

  • That depends but yes. Like if there was some super mature forum about something and a kid's just like: "i thik dat sanik and ame are siblinges cause thy r cute togetter and dey arr da same speces" It's just cringy and annoying.
