Is a flash drive good to use to save the game to?

I want to dowload the game but I don't have enough internal memoryon my Wii U and all external hard drives I've seen only use terrabyes and thats way too much. I'd like to use a flash drive with enough memeory to hold the game but I wanted to know if that would work or if there's another option.

  • You can use a flash drive to my knowledge, but it's not recommended. They can fail or cause your data to become corrupt. Nintendo only recommends powered hard drives for large downloads like a full game would require. Flash drives are more for game saves and software updates. I don't have a hard drive either, which is why I imported the European version of it. I'm not buying a HDD to play one game

  • Plus I absolutely despise digital media personally.

  • But isn't the Wii U reigon locked? Did you buy a European Wii U or do you live in Europe? I live in the U.S.

  • yes which region locking is ultimately worthless! but its NOA'S own fault if they had actually given this game more publicity and encouraged gamers and fans to buy it. it wouldn't be failing

  • They think there are very few Fatal Frame fans I hear. And if thats true their bad choice to not give a physical release is going to give them false data that proves their incorrect views on the amount of fans outside Japan.

  • collen i honestly believe the fatal frame franchise is bigger here and more popular here in the USA i hear more gamers talk about the franchise than japan and plus it doesn't sell all that well japan either so surly it must sell better right?

  • Yes the Wii U is region locked. However someone will find a work around for that eventually. When that happens I will be all set. It's just a matter of time for it to happen. The European version wasn't getting any cheaper and will only get more expensive as time goes on. I thought that buying it now and sitting on it until I can play it was a better option than waiting as the price increases.

  • Colleen You are right. NOA doesn't think that there are enough FF fans here for it to be worth their time to publish physically. However America is Nintendos biggest market. Europe is their smallest market. Yet somehow both Japan and Europe received physical copies but the U.S. didn't. I don't see how FF could possibly sell worse here than Euro and Japan if we are as large as both of them combined
