  • Brawl introduced the ability to toggle Tap Jump On and Off as well as button mapping. That was a pretty big deal for me. Competitively it was a mess but I really liked the roster changes from Melee. Not only were new characters added but clones were differentiated from their original counterparts to make them feel unique. The single player modes were pretty massive. The Subspace Emissary...

  • ...might've been a mess but I really enjoyed the final area. You could skip the nonsense in that mode and go straight to fighting bosses when you completed it once. Smash 4 feels like what Brawl should've been competitively in my opinion. That being said I respect Brawl for being the starting point. I don't have a definitive answer because I really enjoy Smash 4 the most but all of the...

  • Brawl. There was so much to do. Melee was... Okay... My first smash was the 64. SSB4 is... Eh. Not enough to keep me entertained, so I go online.

  • SSB4 because it's the most recent one. It improves upon everything that the previous games had. Better online, more characters, more stages, more soundtracks, more modes(aside from story mode), better quality, and even DLC, which no smash game had before.

  • It's a tie between melee and SSB4, melee is more balanced in all of the fighting styles and combos, but SSB4 has a lot more content in the game.

  • The only bad thing about melee and SSB4 is melee lack some content unless you are playing the game with friends, and SSB4 its online is filled with spammers and trollers. Not saying everyone is one of those, but that's usually what I end up playing against on the 1 vs 1 is glory mode

  • OK my conclusion based on your opinions is: Melee liked mostly because nostalgic matters and we mostly agree every Smash game is lots better than the one before so with all that in mind Sm4sh is the best smash game so far, thank you for your comments guys

  • Eh...a lot of people disagree about Brawl being a better game than Melee. In a strict competitive sense it shows. However from what I can tell Smash 4's players are mostly former Brawl players and a lot of attention was put into this latest entry. I actually know a few people who prefer Brawl over Smash 4.

  • Yeah I know most people "doesn't like" Brawl but we can be sure is because nostalgia and because they can't do all they do in melee, is the same thing with Sm4sh but we can be sure the meta has changed in Sm4sh because we are learning the MUs the frame data and I know this game will be faster and faster making it more likable for everyone
