2 reason of why too many updates are bad.

1: A 3DS wouldn't have alot of space on their card. 2: If you installed Mario Kart 8 update. Then it's bad cuz u have to download smash update.

    And a Competitive Smasher's thoughts on updates: if they are balance patches, then that means the metagame can't develop and that the characters that seem "OP" (that probably aren't) aren't going to get counters developed for them, but just get Nerfed because of complaints made by the community. This causes the community to just adopt a "NERF! PATCH! BUFF!" mentality compared to "Adapt" mentality
