    People choose the inkling girl because their design is much more better and appealing. It's also said that Nintendo was ONLY going to add the inkling girl design into the game.

    Well these are opinions, but really, most people use it because the design looks good. Even most YouTubers use it. And in my opinion, the Woomy meme is much more popular than the Ngyes meme.
