    to sum it up (b/c i don't feel like doing an depth analysis rn): leo has a major complex about being too feminine and a whole bunch of other stuff that forrest is basically the physical manifestation of. leo does not take it well b/c of that.

    one of his skinship lines (during the actual skinship itself) has him say "sometimes people say my face looks like a girl's..." he has very, very long eyelashes. his face has very "shoujo pretty boy"-esque features. put a wig on his live2d model and he looks like he could p much be a blond camilla. add his hair to forrest, and they actually look... amazingly similar (edits exist out there).

    he doesn't appear to be feminine because boy does he try his best to hide it. he's worked really, REALLY hard to try and supress it so he would be mocked even less or be a disgrace to his family (especially in the middle of the "concubine war", his mother "needed" him to be excellent so she wouldn't look bad either).

    like... he want to embrace things that forrest has to him, but he can't with himself because he find those things to be weaknesses for him. for leo, weakness is very, very bad. he grew up being a perfectionist, after all. :/ so it's not that his personality itself is feminine, but it's more his appearance (and is probably why he chose to be a dark knight and not a sorcerer, lmao)

    Ahh. Makes sense. I'm honestly surprised. I never really thought that he had long eyelashes. Probably because they don't really match the appearance of the lashes most of the women have.
