    The thing is Nintendo is trying to plan for Splatoon 2. It'll most likely be for a newer system, not the Wii U (possibly the rumored NX system). Nonetheless, your opinion is one to be heard.

    Why would they abandon Splatoon? It sold 3 Million copies its first two weeks. This is a perfect IP that prints money for Nintendo. They said updates would be slow, but that doesn't mean that Splatoon is dead for good. With the NX coming out, they may wait a year or so to announce it. Maybe. Who knows.

    I understand, but one game can only go far. It can't always live forever. Even so, Nintendo wants money and we are lucky to been given all these Splatoon updates for free. And free has to end sooner or latter... Think of other titles of games, they are great by themselves right? But they still have sequels that we all love as well. It's just the thought of keeping things moving. Am I making sense?

    Put in mind what Splat News said. Splatoon made big money and is still loved. But once bought the money stops coming in since evryone now has it. So what's next? Make another! At least that's how I believe plenty of companies think. And despite how kind Nintendo is to its fans, it's still a company.

    So far, Nintendo has been just adding new maps, clothes, and variations of existing weapons which, is good, but do you really expect that the original Splatoon™ is still going to be played in 2023, then...maybe, I don't know, but it will be highly unlikely.
