What Are the Common Mistakes That Newbies Say or Do?

The most common mistakes that newbs say is randomly calling people spammers and campers. Not every newbie does this. To be pacific, I'm actually talking about newbies that think they are all that and bag of potato chips. I already have one newbie call me a camper when in reality, I'm not camping at all. I can easily tell he don't know what...

  • ...camping is and call me that for the sake of calling me that because they lost multiple times. I have replay videos that will prove otherwise. To help them to know the difference, camping is when the person perched themselves near the edges and use the heck out of the projectiles. If someone gets near them, they'll run to the other side of the stage and repeat the same process over and over...

  • Spam the same Special. For example Bowser Newbies. I've seen soooooo many Side-bs on FG. They ususally lead into side-b-ing off the ledge. *sigh* They sometime don't realize that I'm not in the Blastbox so they get salty when I float back up as Kirby or wall-jump then Up-b as Sonic.

  • ...again. Spamming is when the player uses one or two moves back to back with little regards to the end lag to moves. But in the end, calling people any of those shows their level of skill towards people, especially if they abuse those two magical words. Stop abusing these words and (I hate using this phrase) get good.

  • Speaking of side-bs most newbs are classic material for Little Mac. They CLEARLY don't know that it sends them into freefalling mode. I, however, put that to good use. If your opponent is 89% or higher, a good Jolt Haymaker will do the trick while they're attempting to recover. As shown in this fabulous screenshot but Yours Truly.

  • Switch to the character you're using after they lose to you or switch to a character who's considered high tier but they clearly have no idea how to use them.

  • Roll as a movement technique. I get near them, it's roll central. If I die, after they're done taunting (to noobs who don't get it, level 3 CPUs taunt but level 9s don't. Take the hint), they'll roll in different patterns as if it's some kind of advanced movement that is difficult to follow. I guess they don't know that rolls are only intangible for half the duration of them.

  • Kids that think they're the best even though people my age were playing Smash before they were even born. Hilarious, really.

  • Roll too often and use unsafe Smash Attacks too often. Those are two of the most common mistakes I see a lot of what I assume are newer players make.

  • Also age barely has anything to do with skill level. A lot of teenagers have better fundamentals and such than I do.
