Kirby 64 Help

OK, I'm stuck again. Kirby 64: Neo Star: Level 4: the second shard.....I know WHERE it is, but I can't seem to figure out HOW to get it! There's a room that has a red and brown rock (the colors are unclear) and a marimba guy and two fire guys in the background. I've tried every ability combination I can think of that remotely matches the rock's color, but none work. PLEASE HELP!
